The exhibition features a selection of archive images taken between 2021 and 2023, offering an intimate account of my experience as a transgender teenager in Southern Italy and seeking to develop new visual codes that can restore complexity to the narrative of trans identity. The thread running through the series is the threefold meaning of ‘transit’, understood as movement through space, time and the gender spectrum, developed as an alternation of fragments of places and bodies within a multi-layered narrative. The sequence suggests to the viewer the vital presence of a sublimated body that escapes by constantly hybridising itself.
